Where are my events stored?
149 Live Calendar comes with an own calendar storage to enable more features and
functionality for your events.
When using the app without a 149 Live Calendar account, events are stored on your device only. Backing
up the app via standard iOS or Android means will also back up all calendar data.
A free 149 Live Calendar account includes secure cloud storage for your events.
Calendars can then be synchronized across all your devices, and can easily be shared
with family, team, and friends.
In addition, you can also store events in your existing Google or Microsoft calendars,
or any other calendar set up on your device. Tap the button below "Photos" /
"Camera" / "Colors" to choose the target calendar when editing or
creating an event on Android devices. On iOS devices tap the calendar action right below
the "Details" section header.
What is the difference between events and ToDos?
Events are planned in your calendar for a specific point in time - for example a doctor's
visit or a weekly meeting. ToDos have a target date / time, and should be done on or
before the target date.
In case a ToDo such as placing a call or buying flowers is not done when the target date
is reached, the ToDo stays visible in your calendar on the current day - until it is
finally marked as "Done".
How to share calendars and ToDo lists?
You can share your calendars and ToDo lists by inviting participants:
iOS: Tap "More" in the bottom navigation bar, and
select "Add participants". Then tap on the calendar or ToDo list you would
like to share.
Android: Select "Add participants" from
the app menu. Then tap on the calendar or ToDo list you would
like to share.
Then, choose between read-only and read / write access for the new participants, and
decide if you would like to re-confirm each person who accepted your invitation.
Finally, send the calendar invitation to the participants.
How do Booking pages work?
Booking pages let customers or prospects easily book appointments directly in your calendars! Select
"Booking pages" from the menu in our Android app to create a page including title, description,
availability options and more!
Then send a link to your page to anyone interested in your offering or service to let them
easily book a slot in your calendar via their Web browser.
How to use booking pages when working as a team?
Booking pages can also be used with a shared calendar. Booked events are then visible for all participants!
How to set up reminders?
You can define up to three reminders for each of your events, ToDos or birthdays using
the event edit view. When creating a new event, the reminder default is set to 15
minutes before event start. For birthdays, two reminders are set by default: One day
before and on birthday date.
You can change default settings as follows:
iOS: Tap "More" in the bottom navigation bar, and
head to "Settings". Then tap on "Reminders".
Android: Select "Settings" from the main menu. Tap
on the button next to "Default reminders and more" in the "Event
reminders" module.
Why are reminder notifications delayed or do not appear at all (Android devices)?
Android includes battery optimization. Apps not whitelisted from optimization might not be able to run in
the background and might see their notifications delayed significantly when the app itself
is not running.
To make notifications work reliably, 149 Live Calendar must be excluded from such
optimization:
(1) Select "Settings" from the main menu.
(2) Tap on the button next to "Default reminders and more" in the "Event
reminders" module.
(3) In case a warning is displayed, tap the button of the alert module to open Android
settings.
(4) In Android settings, select "All apps" by tapping on the header.
(5) Select 149 Live Calendar, and exclude it from optimization.
On Google Pixel devices, there might be one more step needed: After allowing background usage for our app
in step (5) tap on the "Allow background usage" text. Then select the "Unrestricted"
option.
Names and location of configuration options might differ between Android devices and version. Get in

How to define recurring events?
To add an event which occurs for example every few days, every week, or once a year,
define event start, event end, and all other fields as for the first occurrence of your
event.
Then, select the "Repeat" button in event details and chose
one of the available options.
Finally, scroll to the bottom of the recurrence options screen to
define the scheduling interval (for scheduling an event every two weeks, for example) and how many times
the event should be scheduled, or to set an end date for the event series.
What weather forecast information is shown for my events?
149 Live Calendar retrieves local weather forecast information for each of your events
up to one week in advance.
So when planning a visit to a different city or country, the latest weather forecast for
each of your destinations will always be available - no matter how many
locations your calendar may contain.
For events more than one day in the future, weather forecast information is given for
the day and location of event. Events starting less than 24 hours from now will show
weather forecast information for the start hour at event location. For multi-day events,
weather information is given for each day of the multi-day event.
